Ramon Guerrero-Suarez

Ramon joined Professor Manfra’s research team as a Purdue University Ph.D. student of the Department of Physics and Astronomy in January of 2023. He is studying the new physics of 2D electron gases residing in GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructures. His research mainly focuses on quasiparticle interferometry in the fractional quantum Hall regime.

Dr. Adrian Merritt

David Bondar

David joined Professor Manfra’s research team as a Purdue University undergraduate researcher in January 2024. Hailing from southern Sweden, he has worked extensively with the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen Denmark, focusing on semiconductor-superconductor hybrid devices and Josephson junction arrays.

Dr. Geoff Gardner

Dr. Gardner has been working with Prof. Manfra’s since 2009. In addition to continued academic collaborations with the Purdue team, he now leads Microsoft's qubit manufacturing team in Denmark. Geoff is a native Boilermaker receiving a B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD in applied physics, physics and materials engineering respectively at Purdue University. Previously, Geoff served as a research engineer at the Birck Nanotechnology Center and as an experimental engineer at the Applied Physics Laboratory, both at Purdue.

Kyle Ohlin

Kyle joined Professor Manfra’s research team as a Purdue University undergraduate researcher in January of 2024. His work involves superconductor/semiconductor hybrid systems with focus in Andreev bound state physics and quantum dot chains coupled to superconducting material.

Prof. Michael J. Manfra

Professor Manfra joined the faculty of Purdue in 2009 after working for 10 years in the Semiconductor Physics Department of Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill New Jersey. He obtained his PhD from Boston University in 1999 and his AB degree from Harvard University in 1992. His current research interests include molecular beam epitaxy of ultra-high purity semiconductors, topological phases of matter, electronic transport at low temperatures and high magnetic fields in mesoscopic structures and quantum computing. When not in the laboratory, Prof. Manfra can be found in his woodworking shop turning fine lumber into sawdust.

Tyler Lindemann

Tyler Lindemann obtained his BS in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign in 2017. He is currently a PhD student in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Purdue University and dually serves as a MBE Growth Engineer in the Microsoft Quantum lab. He joined the Manfra group in April of 2018 and Microsoft Quantum West Lafayette in August of 2021. He is currently working on the topological quantum computing project.
